The Lake Erie Junior Golf Association
is a Junior golf tour that was started in 1986 and has continues to support junior golf to date. The association plays 20 events over a 2 month period on some of the best golf courses Northern Ohio has to offer in the months of June and July. With help from the private and public facilities we are privileged enough to enjoy both styles of golf. Some of the courses we play but are not limited too are
FREMONT CC,
CATAWBA CC PLUMBROOK CC, SAWMILL CREEK, EAGLE CREEK and RED HAWK just to name a few.
Recently the LEJGA under the Ohio Junior Golf Association umbrella has teamed up with the First Tee of Lake Erie to help grow the game. The First Tee reaches out and implements life skills along with golfing skills to these youngsters. RESPECT, HONESTY, SPORTSMANSHIP, INTEGRITY are just a few of the core values that the First Tee lives by. We are currently in school systems giving children the opportunity that they may not have had otherwise in learning this game of a lifetime. The First Tee continues to grow in numbers showing that the future of junior golf in Northern Ohio is strong.
